Services Philosophy About Contact Resources

I chose the practice of law after achieving professional success in both the public and private sectors. My corporate experience in contract negotiation for the government and in strategic planning in the high tech field strengthen my
role as a facilitator, advocate and collaborative partner for my clients.

The traditional adversarial legal approach can be costly, both in time and in money, for dealing with family matters such as the breakdown of a relationship
or the challenges to families as parents age. The law is ill suited to deal with the emotional issues present at such times. I apply my experience and expertise to craft positive solutions.

To provide my clients with the specialization and attention they deserve,
I have focused my practice area on family matters. In addition to my law degree, I have a Masters degree in Conflict Resolution, and am an Accredited Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. I am also an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa and at the Centre for Conflict Education and Research at Carleton University.
